As the UK’s leading retailer with over 740 stores nationwide, Argos wanted to promote a new staff incentive programme for their in store staff. They asked us to develop a Brand identity for the ‘Smiles’ scheme, and we created a range of designs based on Argos’ core brand colours and typography.
Argos gave ‘Smiles’ Cheque Books to staff who showed exceptional commitment to customers and the books contained points that staff could spend. As part of the campaign, we designed, printed and managed the distribution of over 100,000 books.
We supported the ‘Smiles’ scheme with branded awareness postcards and in store POS collateral. Since it was introduced, results have shown that Argos are now even more committed to delivering a great customer experience.
We also developed a popular microsite to help drive the ‘Smiles’ concept. The site enabled Argos staff to login and check their points balance, and introduced a bit of friendly competition with real time updates on staff and store leaderboards. The site also allowed staff to spend their points on Argos products and also to learn more about the benefits of the reward scheme.
